罪的展覽

耶穌在講道的時候，有一班文士法利賽人來到殿中打岔。帶着一個行淫時被拿的婦人叫她站在當中。聖殿是聖潔之處，他們竟將一件最污穢的罪帶到其中。為甚麼呢？他們要對付主竟不擇手段，忘記聖殿是甚麼所在了。今天亦有人亦復如此。為要陷害人而忘記自己所站的地位，環境和立場。其光景正如這批文士法利賽人，自以為義所做的狂妄行為一樣。這種舉動，可稱之為罪惡的展覽；傳福音固然要指責罪，但指責不是展覽。展覽罪的結果，乃是罪上生罪，今天有些報紙記載社會新聞，往往誨淫誨盜，加倍渲染，不過製造眼目的情慾，變相教導人犯罪，徒增社會犯罪的記錄而已。本來不過耳聞罪過，漸漸卻付諸行動。原來已屬敗壞之子，因着耳濡目染遂至更形猖狂。使整個社會一片黃色灰色。報章、雜誌、電視、廣播只為廣告和銷路着想，這是今日世界的悲哀。這也不足為奇，因將近兩千年前主在世上時已有人將罪展覽人前了。
The Sin Show

When Jesus was in a sermon, a group of scribes and Pharisees came to the temple to interrupt. They brought a woman who had been taken in the act of sinning against the married relation and set her in the middle. The temple was a holy place and they were trying to bring one of the filthiest sins to the temple. Why? They actually did anything to deal with the Lord, forgetting what the holy temple served for. The same is true of some people today, who forget their own status, environment and position only for trapping other people. Such a scene is so alike with the self-righteous and arrogant behavior of those scribes and Pharisees, which can be called the sin's show; it is true that evangelization should blame the sin, but blaming is not a show.
The result of showing sin is new sins derive from old sin. Today, some newspapers often record social news with exaggeration, which stir up the base passions and fabricate lust of the eyes, teaching people to commit crimes in a disguised way and increasing the criminal rate. At the beginning some people only hear about sin, however, under the abetment of these media, they gradually put it into action. And those who are already tainted become even more furious after being influenced by what they constantly see and hear. The whole society is full of obscenity and gloom. Newspapers, magazines, television and radio are only focusing on the advertising and sales, which is the sorrow of the world today. But it is not surprising, as nearly two thousand years ago when the Lord was in the world, there were people showing sins in front of others.
