基督徒在屬靈的道路上所以有許多錯誤，乃因不明白聖經，不曉得神的大能。有些人專門到處述說一些神蹟奇事，又有人老是講甚麼異夢異象，儼然自己是神所興起的大先知。還有人說主第二次已經來了，或某年某月要來的。我們如果把聖經好好查一查，讀一讀，就會發現以上種種情形是有問題的。每當人試探主，求看神蹟時，祂從不答應他們的要求。一個人真的認識主，不是憑外面的神蹟奇事。而是憑神的話語和聖靈的啟示。若以神蹟醫病等來引人必不為神所許，這些並不是救恩的中心。而且假先知，假基督也能顯大神蹟奇事（太24︰24﹔可12︰22﹔帖後2︰9～12），所以，我們對「神的大能」必須有正確的認識。在舊約，神有時是用異夢異象教訓人，但並不多﹔在新約也有，但每次必有特殊原因。神是要我們根據聖經的話，憑着生命的感覺來認識祂。異象並不能作唯一的引導。有些信徒根本上自己是有神經衰弱症，甚至是精神不健全的，對聖經所知又不多，就在心思裏產生一些幻象，自以為是異象﹔這種人往往最驕傲，最主觀，常想自己是神所興起的大先知。凡是被邪靈欺騙的人，往往是最相信自己的人。神的夢兆都是使人平安穩定，有理性有意識，絕不是奇怪荒謬，毫無理性。今天，神的約是寫在人的心上（來8︰10），每個信徒都有這個本能來明白神的心意。歌羅西書三章十六節︰「當用各樣的智慧，把基督的道理豐豐富富存在心裏。」一個信徒能做到這樣，就能把一切「似是而非」的東西過濾出去。

The reason that Christians commit many mistakes on the spiritual way is because they do not understand the Bible and do not know the great power of God. Some people tell around a number of special signs and wonders of God, while some people always talk about strange dream visions, as if they are the great prophet designated by God. There are also others saying that the Lord has come back for the second time or at a certain time he will come. If we read carefully and take a clear check of the Bible, we will find that all of the above cases have problems. Every time when people test the Lord and want to see miracles, he never agrees to their demands.
A person really knows the Lord not by the outside signs and wonders, but with God's Word and the Holy Spirit inspiration. Using miracle signs and medical treatment, etc. to attract people will not be allowed by God, as these are not the center of salvation. In addition, false prophets and false Christs can also show great signs and great wonders (Matthew 24:12; Mark 13:22; Thessalonians 2:9-12), so we must have a correct understanding of "the great power of God".
In the Old Testament God sometimes used different visions and dreams to lecture people, but not many; in the New Testament there were also suck kind of behavior. But each time there must be a special reason. God wanted us to, based on the words of the Bible, to know him with the feeling of life. Visions can not be the only guide. Some Christians have neurasthenia and even unsound mind, together with that they have little knowledge of the Bible, finally they have some illusion in the mind and think that are visions; Such people are often the most proud and most subjective ones, and often regard themselves as the great prophet designated by God. Those who have been deceived by evil spirits are often the ones trust themselves the most. God's dream visions are aimed to give people peace and stability, which are rational and conscious and by no means strange, absurd and irrational.
Today, God's covenant is written in the human heart (Hebrews 8:10). Every believer has this instinct to understand God's mind. God never allows anybody to replace the "individual believer" to understand God's will. The section sixteen of chapter III of Colossians said, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom." Once a believer can do that, he/she can filter all the "paradoxical" things out.
